We got our tickets!

I had promised the kids that we would go to a Chicago Fire match this year, but I got stuck at the restaurant all Summer. Couldn’t get away on the weekends. And that’s when they usually play.

But tonight, a Wednesday, is the Wild Card. Chicago Fire vs Orlando City, this might be their last game of the Season, so we better get over there.

First things first though. We got to take care of our business.

Mostly MTG bulk again. Got through 2013. That year is all done.

Also worked on a couple of reviews for Journey of Discovery. That is a long process and the more I get done during Spoiler Season the easier it is with the release.

Well on to the Match.

We didn’t tell the kids we were going to go see the Fire tonight, so we picked up some food and headed to Toyota Park .. I mean Seatgeek Stadium. It’ll always be Toyota Park to me. We parked in the parking lot and they were oblivious to what was going on around them.

Once they realized it they got excited. I didn’t expect it to be so cold, Me and Naki went in with t-shirts and a Jacket, My wife and Ana, had hoodies and coats on and beanies. I had to pick up a hoodie for the little one. But, we probably would have bought one anyway.

Now I’m looking into getting the MLS Season Pass through T-Mobile. It says it’s free for me, I just have to figure out how to do it.

Introduction to Opus I – Wave 1

I would have written a quick guide myself, but there are already a couple of people that have done so, and probably did a better job at it than I would have been able to.

They both cover the same things and for most of the cards these guides will help you determine if you have a Wave 1 or Wave 2 card on your hands.

First one is from Stephen Bongner. He is the Administrator of the FFTCG Marketplace on Facebook. Plenty of knowledge on the game and cards. He created the “Distinguishing Final Fantasy TCG Opus 1 Wave 1 from Future Waves” guide and you can find it here.

Second one is from Conkwe, who runs the FFTCG Boards. I have been going these boards for since Opus VI. Other than his guide on Wave 1 differences, he shares lists of Errata, Promo cards and Variants, and is always a good place to check out. His Wave 1 guide “Differences in Opus I Wave 1 Printing vs Later Waves” can be found here.

These 2 guides are a great place to start figuring out the differences. I hope you find these guides as helpful as I have found them.
