Rebellion’s Call & Kain

Well, I was wrong on who is going to be on the Box Art. I was close though. I said it could be Leon or Queen Hilda. What we got was Minwu. Minwu? Why Minwu? Is it perhaps to tell us that this set will be all about protection. Probably not. Minwu as we all know was the one who helped Firion, Maria and Guy, after they were beaten to a pulp by the Black Knights. So, I’m guessing support. Or just a little bit of everything as usual.

3 Legacy cards once again. nothing changed here.

-Firion (6-019L)
-Veritas of the Dark (8-136L)
-Y’shtola (12-119L)

130 card + 10 starters and 22 Full Arts leaves us with one more card, which will probably be another Crystal. 21 cards per element and 2 and 2 for Light and Dark.

We did get a look at some of the cards. Just artwork, but you can tell Serah, Penelo, Cissnei, Glaciela And Exdeath are all Forwards. And we know that 3 of them are Legends. Serah, Glaciela and Exdeath. Penelo is a Hero, Cissnei a Rare. And Our Summon Atlas. Just a Rare as well.

From these cards without knowing what they do. I’m interested in Cissnei and Glaciela. We always need more Turks support. Along with the Avalanche Vs Shinra Starter deck. I’m hoping we’ll be able to make that deck stronger. Turn Turks into the next Scions. We already have a great Starter Deck. Give us more cards to Overpower it now.

 

 

Speaking of Starter Decks.

Golbez Vs. Cecil

I wanted to write Golbez Vs. Kain for some reason.

You can actually say Kain Vs. Kain. As he is in both decks. Which Kain will reign Supreme? The one with a Evil Warlock in his corner, Or the one with a righteous Paladin?

We’re seeing characters in elements that they haven’t been before. Kain makes his debut in Fire, and Rydia in Water. And Golbez is now a Dark card. That’ll be 4 different elements to his name.

(Hmmm, I wonder if we’ll ever get a Character that has a copy of himself in all elements. I’m guessing when it finally happens it should be Kain. But, that’s a story for another day.)

Full Art Foils included in this set as well. Both Cecil and Golbez will have one. I can’t say I know how these decks will play out, but they will be here before we know it.

Back to Normal?

Here we are, somewhat back to normal. Seems like every time there is a new release, all hell breaks loose as we’re trying to get all the orders out on time. Updating the Site. To feature all the new cards. And, we did get some pretty interesting cards.

I’ve been here and there, all through the internet, and all I saw was most people were saying that this is a bad set. But, I would have to disagree with them. This set is a good set, just because of that beautiful Ultros Full Art. And, that’s not the only reason. There are plenty of good cards in this set. Take Palom and Porom for example. I believe that these 2 are a great team, compliment each other and with the right protection, will be nearly unbeatable.

What about Gogo? He might not be a Legend, but he can use their abilities when they are cast and Gogo is on the field.
We’ve had some Bannings and Restrictions on some cards. It’s probably old news to some of you, but I’ll still mention it.

Speaking of Restricted cards. Our Card of the week has been restricted to just Jessie, for the past couple of weeks, and probably many more to come. For some reason some parts of the website have been out of whack. We’ll be working on it soon enough. I need to put Ultros up as the Card of the Week, every other week. Just for the art. Great looking card.

We’re also getting ready to host F(L)NM. Friday Late Night Magic. Thought as we might as well give it a try. Friday December, 17th. 10:30 PM. We’re giving it a try. If we can get some people to show up, we might continue forward with it.

Where was I when we last did this. I think I was talking shit about Mont last time. And, that’s OK cause he deserves it. For the most part.

Now, I finally reached the to be continued page on the game. Meaning I’m all caught up on the story and can focus on training my Units, the Events and the Raids. Maybe even possibly help out the Guild I’m in. I just signed up for the daily bonuses.

It’s funny how the story can make you feel about a character from one instance to another. Take Luartha for example. Before I did not care for her. Not at all. She was one of the characters that could die and I could care less if she did. But, once we got to the Luartha’s past scenes, Things changed. Luartha made much more sense, and it was perfectly clear why she was acting the way that she was. How could it be that one little scene in the whole game, make me want to add Luartha to the main team? She was the first Homonculus created by Sadali. “Sorrow” Just like Whisper, and the other two who I can’t seem to remember their names right now. She explained everything to Viktora and now the duo is like Bonnie and Clyde. Can’t wait to see what they’ll get into next.

Some new Characters showed up in Part 2. I’m still undecided on most of them, as none have shown anything memorable so far. Engelbert on the other hand, donned the Golden Armor and pretty much sacrificed himself. Unless he take it off soon.
And that is where we are at, at the moment.

Minutes to Midnight

Yes, it’s been a while, but we’ve been preparing behind the scenes. Tonight is our Prerelease even for Crystal Dominion, and if we can get more than 1 person to come, I’ll consider it a success.

We’re getting ready to start setting everything up shortly. Waiting on a couple more tables. Just in case 2 people show up. Which just means that I will have more boxes for me to keep. And hopefully, pull that Full Art Ultros. Because that is the best looking card I have seen in a long time.

Prize support still depends on how many people show up, but First Place will be a Crystal Dominion Pre-Release Kit. If 8 people show up 2nd and 3rd will split a kit between themselves. With 2nd getting the choice of either the sleeves or the promo card, and then 5 packs. While 3rd will get the rest.

Almost 7PM. Event starts at 12AM.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

This will actually be a trial run. If everything goes well, we’ll be hosting more events here. All proceeds will benefit the opening of a Brick & Mortar. Otherwise know as your Local LGS. Yes, that is correct you read that right. Your Local “Local Game Store”.

Now, instead of blogging, I should get back to what I was supposed to be doing.

T-Minus 2 Weeks

We got a few weeks until Crystal Dominion is here, but Pokemon Fusion Strike is right around the corner. And the real question is “Where is Mimikyu?” Not in this set. We haven’t had a Mimikyu since Battle Styles. And, that my friends, is disappointing. This is where I should go on a rant. But, there’s not much to say about it. Next set. If there is no Mimikyu, I will raise hell. Period.

OK, I probably won’t. We all know that.

But, we will have some boxes available. They will be put up some time this week, as they go on sale this Friday. By some time this week, we mean as soon as we know how many we are getting.

What’s going on with the Midnight PreRelease Event?

Whoever wants to come out and try and win a Kit, can come out. Like we stated before $45 for the first kit and entry into the event. $40 for each additional kit after that. We’ll have booster boxes available as well. $100 for the boxes at the Midnight PreRelease.

War of the Visions

Well, I finally beat Sterne after not playing for a week, being pissed because I didn’t want to waste my time leveling up Mont. But, I did want to find out what happens after. And I got a surprise. I didn’t expect that. I did not expect a giant crystal to come out from under Leonis castle. Sadali was excited. And, everyone knew that Mont wouldn’t kill Sterne.

But, now we’re in the Interlude, and well we finally got ourselves a ship. Can’t steer it anywhere except down the river. Into the fog. Where we get attacked by the Water guards.

Who would steer the boat straight into the fog in the first place. We all know that the fog is not a good place to be. Cecil and Kain know this very well, when they walked upon the Mist Dragon on their way to Mist, through the Mist Cave while they were walking through the mist. I know both Cecil and Kain no not to enter the Fog.

The townsfolk of Bridgton, Maine also know that you don’t enter the Fog that just rolls up from the lake.

Almost Here.

23 days away till our first event will be held. We decided on November, 26th. There’s still some things that we need to finish up, but we have plenty of time. Enough time. To do all the things we need.

We have a banner that is in the works. Waiting on a proof, so we can see what it’s going to look like. Product will most likely be here the week of. Plenty of Prerelease Kits, and Booster boxes.

Prize support. At the very least a winner will walk away with a Prerelease kit. And depending on how many people have showed up will determine how many prizes will be available. I’m thinking every 8 people that show up, we’ll throw in something else. 8 people will have a Kit and something else. 16 a kit and 2 other things. Something like that.

How many people will show up is a different story. I’ll be happy with 8. We’ll have a good little tournament with that. Into the Brackets and we’ll have our winner before the night is over. A couple of pictures for Instagram and Facebook. And, the website of course. And, we’ll call it a night.
