Got the Time?

Last week was a busy week for us, and it is still going strong. I was hoping of cracking a box of MetaZoo Nightfall, but didn’t get a chance to. It keeps looking at me when I’m sitting at my desk. “Don’t you want to open me, Big Boy?” “Don’t you want to tear into the shrink wrap, and slowly remove it from on top of me?” And I look at the box, and say … “Maybe, tomorrow night.”

Everything was put on the back burner last week. But, we’ll be back on schedule in no time. Cause we don’t have much going on till Fusion Strike comes out. Only 3 weeks away, and I’m hoping for a new Mimikyu card.

Speaking of Pokemon, I haven’t had a chance to play for a long time. I heard that they changed the Online game. Haven’t checked it out yet. I doubt they changed anything, but I’ll only find out if I re-download it and see for myself. Unless one of you guys would like to tell me.

War of the Visions, no spoiler alert this week, because I haven’t played at all this week. I might give it a rest, because I don’t think I want to have to level up Mont just to beat a scene. War of the Visions.

You might have defeated me.

Maybe I should try Brave Exvius once again. It’s been out for a while. I wonder how far I can get into the story before The First Soldier comes out. Not to mention my backlog of PS4 games. Maybe, I just need a Twitch account. Then I can play games because it’s part of my business plan. Mostly Final Fantasy, but any kind of game will work well. I just need to figure out the setup, Mics, cameras cables and whatnot. I bet it’s pretty easy to figure it out. Just ask Google.

Hey, if we get a Twitch account setup, we can probably start live box breaks. Just a thought.

Now, With More Sugar

It looks like Captain Kirk finally flew into space.

Cracker Jack Pepsi.

Wendy’s Frosty Cereal.

Some interesting news coming out. Nothing important, just a couple of things that caught my eye. And, this whole time, I was reading New Shepherd as New Shatner. I kept thinking why would they name the rocket after William Shatner? Must be trying to capitalize on his name.

Now, we have some releases coming out this week. FFTCG Starter Set, and Meta Zoo. We will have both. I looked into MetaZoo, and I liked that they are using Urban Legends and “Real” Monsters. It gives it a certain charm. Imagine playing with the Killer Clown, that’s seen on the side of the road, when you’re driving through the forest at 3AM. Everybody knows about it. Sure it might just be some idiot trying to scare everybody driving by, but he made his mark on history. Especially since It came out, back in the 90’s. (Tim Curry was a better Pennywise). Now you have videos on Youtube, and Facebook, and Tiktok and what not. With people filming these clowns standing on the side of the road holding balloons. And so, this Killer Clown can take on the Sewer Alligator. You know the one that got flushed down the toilet at the zoo on accident. And now, it crawls through the sewers looking for whatever food it can find.

Shinra Vs Avalanche, I keep saying that backwards. It’s Avalanche VS Shinra. We’ll have 10 new cards available to us. Almost like a sneak peak at Crystal Dominion. More FFVII cards incoming. You can’t blame them. That was the game that launched Final Fantasy into the number 1 spot back in 1997. Now, nostalgia has set in and I know I will be fixing up a Turks deck. If they can only give us a great Reno and Rude cards.

War of the Visions.

-Spoiler Alert-

So, it looks like I spoke too soon. Everyone has not died. Just some of them.

King Robb is still dead. Mont killed him. Not Muraga.

In front of Macherie too, and Englebert.

Now, I’m stuck trying to beat Sterne. Serves me right for not playing with Mont at all this whole time. I thought it would just have been an easy story battle, but nope. I sent out a Level 1 Mont against Sterne the first time. The Battle lasted one Mighty Break. I realized at that moment that no companion can save me.

I had to take Mont and level him up. He is currently at level 79 and is still getting his butt kicked by his younger brother. Hopefully by next week, I’ll have enough Mont shards to Limit Break him a couple more times and get him to level 99. He should be able to take down Sterne by then.

-End Spoilers-

There is also FFVII : The First Soldier coming out. From what I’ve seen there is no Story mode in it. I’ll probably give it a try, but I’m not a big fan of shooters. Unless they have a great story. Something along the lines of Bioshock. Even Dirge of Cerberus had a good story, but that just might be because I’m a big fan of Final Fantasy.

What’s In Store?

How do we go about saying that we will start carrying more TCGs?

More variety. More fun. And, more unboxings for our YouTube channel.

Something like that.

As some of you may have seen, we already started carrying some Cardfight Vanguard. Some of you may have already ordered some as well. But, we’re not stopping there. We’re also looking at getting some Pokemon, MetaZoo, and Weiss Schwarz. We have already placed orders for some product, but these are all pre-orders and we are expecting them starting in October.

If I remember correctly MetaZoo should be the first one up. Nightfall is set for release on October 20th. As soon as we have confirmation of how many we will be getting, we will list them up for ordering. If you want to save one for yourself you can send us an e-mail and we’ll put you down for one. Boxes will be limited, how limited we do not know yet, but it will be first come, first served.

Pokemon, Fusion Strike will be heading our way November, 12th. Same thing goes for these as well. Weiss Schwarz, Date a Bullet for December, 3rd and RWBY for December, 17th.

We’ll also have a page set up for upcoming releases. That way you’ll be able to see what will be on our horizon, and you can always drop us a line to reserve a copy.

Opus XIV – Lightning Review

14-077C – Ovjang

Easy way to grab a Forward of cost 3 or less that was recently broken. Any Forward will do.

But, you’ll probably want to play Aphmau.

14-078H – Trap Door

Trap door, if you walk through it you’ll break a Forward.

Your opponent will think twice before breaking Trap Door.

14-079 – Aphmau

If you grabbed Aphmau from the Break Zone, you can play a card named Aphmau from your hand for 1 Lightning Crystal Point. Doesn’t have to be this one, but there aren’t any other cards named Aphmau.

14-080R – Exdeath

8CP is a bit high. But, you get to do 2 things at once. Break a Forward and grab a Forward from your Break Zone that is 4CP or less.

But, you’re probably going to be playing this card for the ability, Black Hole. For 1 Lightning CP and an Exdeath you can remove 1 Forward from the game.

14-081C – Puppetmaster

Hmm, this Puppetmaster needs his puppet to dull a Forward.

14-082C – Gnath

Don’t like the cards you just drew? Just play Gnath with those 2 cards and hopefully get something better. And if that doesn’t work, Dull and Break and hopefully you’ll get something better once again.

14-083C – Fachan

I’d call this a ticking time bomb. Every time it ticks it gets more power. But this time bomb, you can have it go off whenever you choose to.

14-084C – Schuzelt

For Mono-Lightning this card can be great. Deal a Forward 1000 Damage and then use Grim Reaper to Break it. You can use Grim Reaper more than once.

14-085C – Sylph (XIV)

A primal activates Sylph, and sylph can dull and reduce the Damage one of your Forwards takes by 2000.

I’m wondering, what a Primal deck would look like. Every time a Primal enters the field you can activate all of your Backups.

Hmm.. Let me look into it.

14-086R – Heidegger

Break a Forward when Heidegger enters the field, but you’ll need to discard 2 cards. 6CP, not bad for it. Cheaper then 8 that Exdeath had.

Next turn, you can pay 1 Lightning CP, and dull Heidegger and put him in the Break Zone to add 1 Forward to your hand. If you find one in the top 5 cards.

Even Heidegger is wondering if this is a good deal.

14-087L – Ravana, Savior of the Gnath

Ravana can attack 4 times???

Move over Gilgamesh, Ravana has taken your spot. It doesn’t really matter that Ravana can’t gain Brave when he activates every time a Character is put into the Break Zone. Yours or your opponents.

And the Damage that he is dealt is reduced by 5K.

Gilgamesh and Ravana. Ice/Lightning. The game can be over in 1 turn.

14-088C – Mneejing

This card was probably meant to help Aphmau, but it probably won’t be used for Aphmau.

You can choose any Forward 3CP and under to use it on.

14-089C – Ewen

For 1CP you can Break a damaged Forward.

Nuff said.

14-090R – Ramuh, Lord of Levin

Unless you’re playing Ramuh early on, he is coming in with Haste.

And, you’ll be breaking Forwards left and right. You can have Ramuh on the field and cast Raiden (Revenant Wings)
(10-100C), and Break all the active Forwards your opponent controls.

Remember you heard it here first.

14-091R – Ramuh

Same thing as above. If you already control Ramuh, Lord of Levin, you’ll be Breaking 2 Forwards each time you cast this card.

14-092C – Dragoon

Are you playing Dragoons? You might want to pass this card, unless you can find a way to play him for cheaper. But then you still have a body on the field.

14-093H – Luso EX

I can see some playing this card. For 2CP you get to search for a FFTA2 Character, and if that doesn’t work, at least you have a blocker. That will last through one round.

Engage on the other hand, is the same as his n entry ability, except for the fact that the FFTA2 Character is played straight to the field than to your hand.

14-094R – Ravus

Plenty of Captains to choose from but, one that stands out is Captain (12-094C). I can see some shenanigans that will come out of these 2 cards.

With that being said, 1CP for a 9K body, is what you would want to play every chance you get.

A Forward losing 5K when he enters either the field or the Break Zone isn’t bad either.

14-095H – Roche

Roche. The perfect play Turn 1.

If he is in your hand on your First turn, You will basically, just lay the card down and deal your opponent 1 point of Damage. If not, then there is nothing special about him. Except the first time you fight him in FFVII Remake.
