Weekly Roundup

What’s been going on this week?

It seems like it’s been an off week here. Can’t explain it, but we’re starting to move again. Well I am, my body was aching all week, and now I’m starting to feel back to normal. And, now it’s time to start getting ready for Hidden Legends.

Spoilers will start be released left and right, and before you know it, it’ll be time for Midnight PreRelease. We’ll have more information on that a little later. Probably a week or two, but you probably already know what it’s going to say.

We got ourselves a bunch of Sports Cards.

Not planning on fully going in that direction, but when you find a great deal, you have to take it. That means we got ourselves an account on Buysportscards.com and, we’re slowly filling it up with our inventory. Stay tuned for more info on that as well.

Rest assured though that Final Fantasy will always be our main thing.

Leveling Up By Priming

Looks like we were right!

Priming is essentially leveling up a Character. As with the release of the Card of the Week Spoilers for Hidden Legends, Clive levels up to Ifrit.

I’m sorry, I meant Primes into Ifrit.

And, that also means that we are on a Countdown to Hidden Legends. 8 weeks away. Wait no, it’s only 6 Weeks away. That also means that Midnight Pre-release is 5 weeks away.

It’s coming a lot faster than expected.

Any ways back to Priming.

Will this be only for Final Fantasy XVI Characters, or will Characters from the other Final Fantasy games be able to Prime?

I’m guessing only FFXVI Characters. Because it wouldn’t seem right for Warrior of Light to Prime into Bahamut, or Cloud into Choco/Mog. Yeah, I’m just playing here.

It Was A Good Day

The alarm goes off, It’s 5 in the morning and I need to get ready.

Sunday Mornings are meant for sleeping in.

Not today, we have to give the flea market another shot. Last Saturday sucked, but it could have been multiple reasons for that.

Slowly crawl out of bed, and what we need is Coffee. Plenty of it.

Then it’s time to load up the truck, and we’re off.

Wait in line, get inside, set up.

It’s cloudy but the weather says it’s not going to rain.

Plenty of foot traffic, already seeing some people I know. Making sales, I’m starting to think the flea market isn’t that bad. It’s actually going great today.

Que the Eurythmics.

“Here’s comes the rain again.”

It didn’t rain that hard, but when you have Kardboard all over your tables with nothing to cover everything, you got to move quick. Started throwing everything back in the truck. Found a giant blanket and just threw it on everything. We got to save everything.

Now we’re here standing under the hood of the trunk just people watching. The rain lasted about an hour and some of the other vendors were already leaving. I thought about it, but the weather did say no rain. So, I took my chances and set everything back up again.

It didn’t rain again which was good, and the traffic started rolling again.

90% sold was Pokemon, which is understandable. And, I got rid of somethings that I thought would never sell.

Win/Win for me.

Now it’s time to figure out where we’ll be next weekend. If we can’t find anything we’ll be back at the Swap-O-Rama in Alsip.

Legacy Collection, Thoughts On Pull Rates

This is an interesting set, and I believe we need to look into this a little bit more than usual.

What we know so far is that the Legacy Collection, will be replacing the Anniversary Collection Set of previous years. And, instead of just giving us all of the cards in one box, we’re hoping the RNG gods will help us with grabbing all the cards that we will need.

It’s a 200 card set, and each card will have a Premium Foil version, and also a Full Art version. As I previously stated, this might mean new art, I highly doubt it now. After I re-read the news article Square -Enix posted, it is just a different foil type. Will this be only for the Full Arts, or for the regular foils as well? That’s something that we will have to find out in February, unless we get shown some of these cards before hand.

Back to the the 200 cards. This set will give us a total of 600 cards plus the 2 Signature cards, and the 6 Crystal cards, these give us a total of 608 cards for a complete collection. And, that my friends will be a rare sight.

Speaking of the Gold Stamped Signature cards, how rare will these be? Because I’m sure it won’t be once in every 5 Master Cases, not with this many Full Arts. Even if they hand out 1 Full Art and one Foil in every pack you’ll still need at least 200 pack for a full set, which I don’t believe that they’ll do.

Let’s do some math.

A Master case is now 3 cases of 6 Boosters. A Booster is 20 packs. This gives us 360 packs per Master Case. Which makes it unlikely that we will be getting a complete set of Full Arts from one Master Case. Given that 200 of those cards will be the regular Foil Version, that leaves us with 160 slots for Full Arts, which I don’t believe that we’ll be getting that many.

And, since we won’t be getting a complete set of Full Arts in a Master Case, this brings me to believe that the chances of getting a Gold Stamped Signature card will be even rarer than the chances we all have with a regular set.

Let’s break this down a little further.

If we have 160 extra packs per Master Case, this gives us about 8-9 Full Arts per box. Which I believe is too high. I’ll say that they will be about 50 Full Arts per Master Case, which will give us about 3 Full Arts per box. Some boxes will have just 2 Full Arts if this is the case.

We’ll need 4 Master Cases for a complete set of Full Arts.

Since, we already know that with the regular sets, the chances of getting a Gold Stamped Signature was 1 in 5 Master Cases. That gives us 5 complete sets of Full Arts.

SO.

If we need 5 complete sets to pull a Gold Stamped Signature, That gives us 20 Master Cases.

That means we’ll be getting a Gold Stamped Signature in 1 out of 10 Master Cases.

Now, this is just my thoughts on it. We’ll have to wait until February to see a better number that’s closer to the pull rates.

Let us know what your thoughts are? Is my number too high or too low? Or did I hit the nail on the head?

Prime, New Flavor of Play

Well, I think I figured it out what Prime is.

Now this is just an assumption, and we won’t know until Square-Enix actually tells us what Prime is.

From what I’m seeing with Clive, and Ifrit It seems that Prime is used to level up your Characters. Kind of like Pokemon. Clive can Prime into Ifrit for the cost of 2CP one of which has to be Fire.

Thus turning Clive into Ifrit.

Will Clive be sent to the Break Zone after this? Will Ifrit have the abilities of both cards? There’s still are a lot of questions, but I think this can be a new and interesting way to play.

What are your thoughts on this? Am I hitting the nail on the head, or do you think that Prime will be something completely different?
