Job Title : Necron

Necron, the Necron

5CP – Ice
Forward
Necron
Rare

“You can play 2 or more Dark Characters onto the field.

When Necron enters the field, choose 1 Character other than Necron you control. Its Element becomes Dark. (This effect does not end at the end of the turn.)

At the end of each of your turns, if you control 3 or more Dark Characters, Necron deals your opponent 1 point of damage.”
Now this is an unusual card, in that Necron can deal Damage to your opponent simply by doing nothing. Just load up on Dark Characters and sit it out. Just make sure you have at least 3 Dark Characters on the field at the end of each of your turns, and you’ll be dealing a point of Damage to your opponent.

Even though Necron is pretty much a standalone Character, with no alliances, Necron does side with the Dark, as all he does is want to destroy the Crystal.

Best plan would be to side Necron with all the Dark cards that you can. Hey, you might finally make that All Dark, … well mostly Dark Deck that you always wanted.

The Orders Keep Coming

TCGPlayer, is starting to pick up for us.

Yes, of course we are on there, TCGplayer has countless users which out of them 99.99% of them do not know who Kardboard Korner is. And, it is our job to teach them. How? By selling them cards, and bringing them back to the website with a coupon.

It works sometimes, and other times, and other times, people just don’t care about coupons. Because I have seen people order from the Website, without using a coupon after I sent them a couple of cards through TCGplayer, or through eBay. Which is good for me, unless they don’t know how to use the coupon.

And if you’re reading this, and would like a coupon, you can use the code FIVE for a 5% discount on your order.

Now that that’s out of the way, what have we been playing?

More Dissidia Opera Omnia.

– Spoiler Alert –

Here is where I say, I told you so.

Mog is a two faced moogle. I’ve seen him talking to Spiritus. But it seems like none of the Heroes actually care. They all just have him as a guide, as they’re trying to figure things out on their own, and fight what they want to fight for.

Shadow turned up, and basically said don’t trust that flying fur-ball. OK, he didn’t use those words, but that sums it up.

Kefka is always a joy to watch him taunt the party.

If you ask me, I think that Mog has his own goal in mind, and is on neither side. He is playing both Materia and Spiritus. I’d like to see what happens when Materia finds out. Spiritus already knows, and he probably has a plan set, for when Mog decides to betray him.

– End Spoilers –

Don’t forget, to use the coupon code – FIVE.

Necron

“Come. Enter the Zero World you so desire.”

I wouldn’t call Necron the Main Antagonist of Final Fantasy IX but, he is the final boss. He isn’t behind Garland or Kuja either as a puppet-master. Necron sort of just appears out of nowhere at the end of the game, and tells us he will destroy all life as Necron has watched over Kuja and all of his actions throughout the story. And, based his opinion around Kuja.

Not anybody else, what would happen if he based his opinion around Hippaul? Would he assume that the whole world needs to get in shape? That’s probably what would happen if he based his opinion around me, too!

But, enough about me.

Necron has no alliances, no back story, no nothing. Necron doesn’t even have an entry in the Ultimania!

GCon 2023

We’ll be back at GCon, Chicago’s Southside Comic-Con, this year.

I can’t do it justice, so I’ll just cut and paste here and let Leo tell you it all.

“What started as an idea blossomed into reality. The shows began on October of 2011, our founder, Leo Guerrero, attended many conventions during the 1980’s when they were held in the loop at the Congress Hotel. It was a time that any collector could go get his/her favorite collectible and get a chance to meet any creative person from any comic book company.

G Connn, formally called T-C-S, started at the Holiday Inn of Midway Airport in a 2000 square foot room, and now has moved to the Orland Park Civic Center, which is 4300 square feet of space. Dealers include comic shops, vintage toys, and all other memorabilia ranging from posters to statues are represented at each show. We strive to get as diversified an offering as we can so that you, the collector, can have more to choose from.”

https://gconnn.wixsite.com/home

With the Who, What, and Why taken care of, we’ll get to the When and Where.

When?

Sunday, September 24th, 2023
9:00AM – 3:00PM

Where?

Orland Park Civic Center
14750 South Ravinia Avenue
Orland Park, IL 60462

We’ll see you all there.

New Hires For Inefficiency

We got some new hires.

They’re not the greatest, but what would you expect from a Kindergartener, and a Pre-Schooler. I got my two little ones “helping” out. And, they enjoy it. But, at the same time it took our time of 30 seconds to preparing an order to 5 minutes, or so, maybe more.

But, they love it.

They sit next to me, as I get things ready for them.

We start off with putting the card in the sleeve, then in the top loader. Put tape on the top loader, then tape the top loader to the paper, where I write the thank you note. After that we put the card in the envelope, where they lick the envelope to seal it. This part is their favorite for some reason. I’ve had to replace a couple of envelope after they were done. After that they get to put a stamp on the envelope and off it goes to where ever it’s destination is.

So, if you ever receive a card with 2 names on the note, just know that the 2 little ones helped put your order together.
Child Labor at it’s finest. Best part is that they get paid in Bulk Pokemon cards.
